Journal of Human-Social Nexus follows a continuous publishing model to ensure that high-quality research is disseminated efficiently and promptly. Our publishing policy is designed to accommodate the fast-paced nature of academic research while maintaining rigorous editorial standards. Below is an overview of our publishing model, frequency of issues, and submission process.

1. Continuous Publishing Model

Continuous Publishing refers to the practice of publishing articles as soon as they are ready, rather than waiting for an entire issue to be completed. This ensures that research is disseminated quickly, maximizing the visibility and impact of individual articles.

In this model:

  • Accepted manuscripts are published online as soon as they are finalized and ready for publication, making them immediately available to the global academic community.

  • The journal will not hold manuscripts for a specific issue but will instead publish articles as soon as possible after they have been peer-reviewed, revised, and finalized.

2. Issue Frequency

The journal publishes three issues per year, which are formally compiled and closed at regular intervals to maintain structured volume and issue numbering. The publication cycles are as follows::

  • April

  • August

  • December

Each issue will be released at the end of the corresponding quarter, ensuring that the latest research is made available throughout the year. These issues will include articles that were published continuously throughout the quarter.

3. Article and Issue Publication

Article-based publication:

  • As soon as an article is accepted and goes through the editorial, peer review, and revision processes, it is published online and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for easy citation and tracking.

Compilation into Quarterly Issues:

  • While the journal follows continuous publication, the articles published within each calendar quarter will be compiled and organized into a quarterly issue. These issues are presented with a clear table of contents and made accessible for download from the journal’s platform.

4. Online First and Final Issue Formatting

  • Online First: Articles will appear as “Online First” upon acceptance. These will be available for citation and referencing prior to being included in the  issue.

  • Final Formatting: Once the quarterly issue is compiled, the articles will be formatted for issue publication and made available in PDF format for easy access by readers.

5. Article Processing and Publication Timeline

  • Timeliness: The journal aims to ensure that articles move through the editorial and review process efficiently. The typical time from submission to publication is approximately 8-10 weeks, depending on the manuscript's revision cycle.

  • Peer Review: All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process. After peer review and any necessary revisions, the article will be formatted for publication.

  • Final Decision: The final decision on publication will be communicated to the corresponding author as soon as possible. Accepted articles will be published in the next available issue, following the journal’s continuous publishing schedule.

6. Accessibility and Open Access

  • Open Access: All articles are published in open access format, meaning they are freely available to all readers worldwide. No subscription or payment is required for access.

  • DOI Assignment: Every article published in Journal of Human-Social Nexus will be assigned a DOI to ensure its easy discoverability, citation, and long-term preservation.

7. Submission and Updates to Authors

  • Ongoing Submissions: Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts at any time, and they will be processed according to the journal’s peer review and editorial procedures.

  • Updates to Authors: Corresponding authors will be kept informed about the status of their manuscript throughout the review and publication process. Once an article is accepted, authors will be notified about its expected Online First publication date.
